Phototriggers corresponds to Social History Comparison of Given Periods (Ofqual No. M/617/1260) and within SFA-funded AIM Awards Level 1 Skills for Personal & Social Development this RQF component has 3 credits at Level 1. From December this component should be SFA allocated funding as a standalone component,
PHOTOTRIGGERS introduces learners to the lifestyles and living conditions in a given period of post-war Britain. Learners will compare their findings to a later period, for example, current day Britain.
This component fits several areas of the school and college curriculum including History, Politics and Sociology. Additionally, this component may be used within PSHE and tutorials.
The component aims to raise awareness of differences between everyday life in one given period of post-war history and another via analysis and comparison of e-Learning visual stimuli and identifying elements within them.
